The debut CD from Marlon Lock entitled: The Good Seed Project debuted on the Billboard charts of top gospel albums at No. 19, on May 19, 2015, with the quartet single: “He Delivered Me.” The Good Seed Project was nominated in 2 categories, for the 2016 Stellar Awards: New Artist of the Year and Traditional CD of the Year!

Marlon Lock understands what it takes to hold on to God’s hand through difficult situations. As a youth, he dealt with mistreatment of a daycare provider (which led to one of his greatest blessings in disguise – his grandparents raising him from 15 months up through adulthood), childhood obesity, the loss of his dad at the age of 10 from a heroin overdose, the incarceration of his brother, suicidal thoughts (making plans to take his own life, with his service gun as a police officer), and then the loss of his grandparents.

Disturbed by the on slot of violence amongst law enforcement and civilians, Marlon was moved with compassion during the Mike Brown protests to write another song. “Hang On” encourages the listening audience not to let go of God’s promises

and His principles when faced with unimaginable adversity. “Hang On”, inspired by the many challenges the world face today, was produced by 9-time Grammy Award winning producer, Kevin Bond.

In preparation for a conference that forever changed his Pastoral obligations, Marlon Lock wanted to release a 10-year old powerful worship song that his

congregation had been singing. “You Covered Me” was released April 15, 2016.

Marlon Lock released his sophomore album, Unleashed, August 19, 2016. Unleashed gives the listening audience, a broader perspective of the musical style and versatility he demonstrates. All songs were written by Marlon Lock. The album was produced by Grammy nominated producer, Chad “C-Note” Roper.

This latest single continues to demonstrate the versatility of Marlon Lock. “Faith Down to the Ground” simply explains how we all have faith in some capacity. In fact, that faith is well illustrated through air flight. Marlon vividly describes the

faith that we have in the air, but how critical it is to have that same faith acted upon in our everyday lives. The single features singer and Pastor, Bishop Darrell Hines of Christian Faith Fellowship, Milwaukee, WI. The song was produced by Antoine Reynolds, Joshua “Golden Boi Beats” Brown, and once again, Grammy-nominated producer, Chad “C-Note” Roper.

While Marlon’s roots and foundation is quartet, he undoubtedly has a style of his own.
